Wedding-Day Hairstyles
I love wedding-day hairdos! Long, wavy curls for the romantic bride. Updos for the elegant bride. Short and fun for the starry-eyed bride.
Some brides choose to forgo traditional wedding veils. This creates a wonderful opportunity for a bride’s hair to be the focal point.
So, let’s talk about hairstyle choices:
- Loose & Flowing
- Short & Stylish
- Partial Updos & Braids
- Full Updos
- Adding in Accessories
- Adding in Flowers

Do you want your hair to be long on your wedding day, but are having a hard time getting it to grow?
Try this easy to use hair conditioner:
I have always had a hard time getting my hair to grow. It’s always been about 6 inches below my shoulders, and that’s as long as it would grow. I have a friend who has really long hair, and I asked her how she grew it so long. She recommended that I try Crece Pelo. So I did, using it just as conditioner every time I washed my hair, leaving it in for about 5 minutes each time. And it worked! Now my hair is about 2 inches below my waist. It’s actually longer than my friend’s hair is. The last time we got together for lunch, she was excited with the results that I had experienced. And maybe just a bit jealous. Haha 🙂 She’s going to go back to using Crece Polo.

Vines & Wreaths
Most hair vines are lightweight and work really well for brides who want a hair accessory, yet don’t want to notice that something is in their hair.

As you decide on a hairstyle, here are some things to think about and do:
- Will there be dancing? If you have an elaborate hairstyle, will you be able to anchor it in place?
- How long will your wedding day be? Will your curls hold up? Will you have time to touch up your hair, if necessary?
- Will having your hair up all day be bothersome to you? Will your hair get in the way of festivities if it’s down all day? Choose a hairstyle that you are comfortable with.
- Experiment with different hairstyles before the day of, to give yourself an idea of what you like and what looks good with your wedding dress. Take pictures so you can remember and can compare. And can show to your hairstylist, if you are having someone else do your hair.
- Time how long it takes to create the hairstyle you choose. And if you are going to a salon on your wedding day, add in travel time to ensure that you have adequate time.
- If you choose an updo, do not wash your hair the night before your wedding. It tends to make your hair too slippery to work with.
- If you are going to use hairspray, experiment with different brands and styles. Find what works well with your hair. And is fragrance-free! You are going to be hugging a lot of guests.
