HOW TO HAVE A CHRIST-CENTERED EASTER

Easter & Springtime! The best times for new beginnings, reevaluations, starting over, letting go, rededicating to a cherished cause, and finding new purpose. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins, died for us, and won the power over death to resurrect Himself. And us. And because of His sacrifice, we can repent and try again, and again, and again.

So, this Easter Season, let’s celebrate and worship our Savior by honoring His Name and renewing our commitment to Him.

Here are some suggestions for having a beautiful and soul-reviving Easter Season.

  • Attend a worship service. Invite family, or a friend, or an elderly person along.

  • Join a church choir or a community choir. And take a friend or two with you. The choir director will love you for it!

  • Host an Easter Egg Hunt for the neighborhood. Ask the neighborhood moms to assist, with eggs and candies and baskets.

  • Invite people over to join in your Easter Feast. Family, friends, loved ones, neighbors. Make it a pot luck, so everyone feels welcome. The more the merrier!

  • Sing Easter Hymns together around the piano. Celebratory Carols don’t have to be just for Christmas!

Then invite people to share their thoughts and feelings about the Savior.

  • Take some friends and family members, and go to an assisted living care facility. Visit with the elderly people who live there. Let them know that they are loved and valued.
