I love tapestries! They give a room a majestic, medieval feeling. And they brighten up a plain wall and turn it into something grand. If your walls need a change, then try hanging a tapestry or two. Tapestries come in lots of sizes, so you can hang them in just about any space. Take a look at these gorgeous and cost-conscious tapestries, measure your space, and find the wall hanging that will give life to your room. And if you have high or vaulted ceilings, then go for the larger sizes, and give your home a castle feeling.

Whether your rooms are big or small, a tapestry will bring in beautiful colors and will brighten up any space. Give it a try!

RODS & FINIALS

StockCake

We used steel rods in place of curtain rods. Tapestries are heavy, and they need something sturdy to support them. Then we put the finials on the ends of the steel rods. You can buy finials that will fit onto the ends of the steel rods. Or, you can by smaller and thinner rods with finials, and slide the thin rod inside the steel rod. This also means that you can buy smaller rods, which cost less.

We have done it both ways. We spray painted the steel rods black, either just the ends for the rods that were holding one tapestry. Or, the whole rod for the rods that were holding several tapestries.

OUR TAPESTRY WALL

We have been adding to this wall for several years. It’s finally complete, and I love the way it looks. We now have a colorful tapestry wall that makes our cozy home feel like a medieval fortress. Which is so much fun!
