BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK

We went to Bryce Canyon over the weekend. It was really fun! One of my girls wanted to get out of the city and see the stars and the Milky Way. So, we piled into our bus Friday afternoon and made our way to Bryce Canyon, Utah.

On our way!

Dutch is always willing to take us anywhere.

We made it to Bryce Canyon Friday night. The stars didn’t start to appear until about 10:00 pm.

The Milky Way!

The girls went outside at 2:00 am to stargaze. They woke up Nate, but apparently, not all the way. He didn’t make it out to see the stars. And in the morning, he asked them why they didn’t wake him up. He didn’t remember any of it.

It was a cold night. It got down to about 30 degrees.

About 3:00 am, after hearing an animal growl, the girls rushed back onto the bus! Was it a bear, a cougar, or as Dutch thinks, a cow? We’ll never know!

Saturday morning, we went to Bryce Canyon National Park. Early. Nobody slept much the night before, everyone was awake, so we were ready to go!

On our way home, we drove through Sanpete County, where we lived for twenty years. It was fun to see what was the same and what was different.

This is the Manti Utah Temple. One of our girls was married in this temple, right before we moved. We have wonderful memories of this temple!

The new Ephraim Utah Temple. The open house will be in September, and the dedication will be in October.

This is the house that Dutch built. We loved this house!

We had a fantastic view of Horseshoe Mountain from our great room!

We had a great time and made it home Saturday afternoon. It was a fun trip, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure!
